Weekend Recap

You know we’re always doing something fun around here and this weekend was no different.

On one of Ryder’s favorite episodes of Blue’s Clues they make blueberry muffins so you can often hear him pretending to “mix da ingredients” when he’s playing in the bath or his sandbox.  Imagine his excitement when I told him Saturday morning that we were going to make real blueberry muffins!  He’s such a good helper too and already knew all the steps!

Later that day we ventured out to Mikayla’s 3rd Birthday party which was so much fun because it was at the bowling alley!  Ryder had never been bowling before so he really had a good time learning what it was all about.

Sunday Daddy went to go work on his friends bike and Ryder went with Yaya to hang out with the family.  So that left Mommy to sit at home and do NOTHING, which was fabulous.  Until we had a horrible storm, lost power for the rest of the day/night and Ryder came home with throw up all over him.  Luckily it turned out that he wasn’t sick, I guess his tummy was just upset from something he ate, but this was the first time he has ever thrown up so it was a new experience for all of us.  Within an hour he was back to his old self, running around in just his diaper, telling us all the different ways he was going to get the power to come back on.  “Ryder’s gonna use his saw-zaw, like DIS, and da powder is gonna just jump through da window and come back on!”  Who needs TV when you’ve got entertainment like this?!
