Another Evolution Post, With a Twist!

The evolution of Ryder’s hair that is!  If you’ve missed the first two parts of this series, you can see them HERE and HERE.  So we’ll pick up right where we left off.

The half up/half down look became a staple for us since it kept his hair out of his face.

If we tried really hard when it was wet we could start to get it all back into one pony tail.

The longer that it got, the easier it was to tuck behind his ears.

But the longer it got, the more people assumed they were the beautiful locks of a little girl!

Winter time meant hats…and hats were a great combination for Ryder’s hair and people to realize that he was a little BOY!

052

During bathtime it was always fun to pile the hair up and see what he would look like without long hair.

But it just fit him and his personality way too much to get rid of it.

So we just kept letting it grow.

And we could finally get it all into a low pony tail…

So we let it grow even longer.

But one trip to the state fair with this long haired little boy (in his most little-boy-ish outfit) changed everything…

117

Because EVERY.SINGLE.PERSON called him a little GIRL!  Not one person referred to him as a boy.  SO, I can’t even believe I’m typing this, but…

RYDER GOT HIS FIRST EVER HAIR CUT!!!

Don’t worry, he still has long hair, just not AS long!

As far as where it will go from here, your guess is as good as mine, so stay tuned!  For now, let’s just hope that people will realize he’s a boy!  (and no, apparently the blue shirts, baggy jeans, and tennis shoes don’t give that away!).
