Easter Fun!

We started our Easter festivities with a huge Easter egg hunt at our Church.  We always have a blast at this Easter egg hunt, but this year was extra fun because our friends Nicki, Mikayla, and Jax joined us and we went together!  We didn’t plan these coordinating outfits, but it sure did make for some cute photos of these little friends together!

Somehow our name got drawn and we won this HUGE family Easter basket at the Egg Hunt!  Cool, huh?!

The next morning was Easter so we got up bright & early before the sun so that we could go to the sunrise service our Church does!

It’s such a pretty service right on the water and is my favorite way to start our Easter morning.  We went home and…guess who left each kid a basket on the kitchen counter?!  No, not the Easter Bunny!  Mommy & Daddy!

We told Ryder that the Easter bunny had left those baskets for them and it only took him 2 minutes to break that code. The conversation went a little something like this:

Ryder: Why did I get an Easter egg Pez and Maisy got a Easter Bunny pez??

Mommy: Because I just figured that you would like the egg and she would like the bunny.

Ryder: I knewwwwwwww YOU filled these baskets!  Silly Mommy, there’s not really an Easter bunny!

Daddy:  Good job Mommy!

Oops.

Either way, the baskets were enjoyed!  After that we headed over to Poppy’s house to have breakfast with him, Nana, Uncle G, and Catherine.  The kids got more Easter goodies of course!

Next stop was to my Mom’s to have Easter lunch with Yaya and the rest of my family :)  The rain didn’t stop us from still having our Easter egg hunt, we just moved it inside.

The kids found so many eggs and then Yaya added even more goodies to their baskets!

The weather finally cleared up so we got to go outside for some pics and playtime with Paw-Paw! (Daddy snuck off for a nap, not fair!)

Oh yeah, then we woke Daddy up to get some pics with him in it!  This next sequence of pictures cracks me up.  Alan is about to take a picture with Ryder:

Maisy doesn’t like this idea, so she sneaks in pretending to give brother a hug:

Then does the spin move onto Alan’s lap and starts pushing brother away saying “No, My Dada!!”

That girl is crazy for her Daddy!  And no matter how crazy they all are, I’m crazy for every single one of them!

Happy Easter!

Living He love me;

Dying He saved me,

Buried He carried my sins far away;

Rising He justified, freely forever;

One day He’s coming, Oh Glorious Day!

We can get through this crazy life with the Hope and Strength we find through Jesus alone, trying hard to live in remembrance of that this Easter season!
