We usually spend the 4th of July at Alan’s Grandma’s house and this year was no different! Although this year felt so weird with the 4th being in the middle of the week. We still made the best of it and stayed out way too late, even though we had to be up early for work!
We got to see Carter & Callie for a little bit, Angela stopped by with them and Maisy was so excited!
Their 4th of July gear…Maisy’s shirt said “Little Miss Firecracker”.
A tradition for Alan and his family is to jump off the Cobb Island bridge every summer. Ryder was pretty amazed and I cringed at the thought of him being old enough to do this one day!

It finally got dark and was time for fireworks…
Which they tolerated for all of 5 minutes. It was way past bedtime, as you can see in the picture below, both of them with one hand on the belly, the other rubbing their eyes!
So we enjoyed the rest of the show from the closed in porch!
We didn’t get home until almost midnight…needless to say our 4th of July was FUN but EXHAUSTING!

Oh that darn Cobb Island Bridge. My boyfriend is from "The Island" and has told me many stories of jumping off that bridge. Brant went as far as to ask Derek if he wanted to jump off it (of course I said NO, lol). I feel your pain b/c the day will come when Derek is bigger and has the nerve to do it. EEKKK
It is way late for the kiddos! I am glad you made the best of it though and the kids look so cute! Maisy is just getting so big and she is so adorable!
