Sundays

I'm posting about Sundays on a Wednesday. Maybe because this week has been so busy that I'm just now getting around to it. Or maybe because its only half way through the week and I'm wishing so bad that it was Sunday instead! Our Sundays have come to be my favorite day of the week...Church and then lunch with the family at the garage. The kids play and get tired out just in time for a nice long nap, which means relaxing time for Mommy & Daddy. Oh how I love Sundays!

This Sunday we had a nice visit from the Vathes family. Madalynn is so cute and absolutely hilarious, it was nice getting to spend time with them.

I never remember to grab my camera, so here are some cell phone pics of our Sundays at Poppy's garage...usually with us, Gregg, Catherine & her girls.

Aunt Megan’s Birthday Dinner

Birthday’s in our family usually means getting together for dinner, which is always fun!  But this year, Aunt Megan’s birthday dinner was extra special because we had a new little treat to enjoy!

Baby Conner definitely stole the show at Megan’s birthday dinner, but I think her getting a laptop made up for the lack of birthday attention!

And I’m sure she enjoyed the cupcakes Ryder made for her, topped with a number 7…for no other reason than that’s the candle he insisted on getting her at the store!

Okay back to Baby Conner:

Even the kids couldn’t get enough of him.  That cute, sweet, cuddly little boy.  Oh and Happy Birthday to his Mommy! :)

Baby Conner

I’m an Aunt, again :)  My sister Megan had a little baby boy on Friday evening…Conner Gene.  He was the exact same size as Maisy!  8 pounds 8 ounces, 21.5 inches long.  He has a full head of hair too!  He’s so adorable and we’re so happy for them.

Gosh, being around a newborn makes me realize how NOT newborn my “new-born” is!  Can’t wait to snuggle up with my cute new nephew again soon :)

Mid-Week Ramblings

Let’s see, what can we talk about…?

Uncle G wanted to spend some special time with Ryder, so he picked him up Saturday, took him to the park and to pick out a pumpkin.  Then they went home and played tattoo parlor Uncle G’s Ink, you know, their favorite game to play together!  Ryder ended up with like 8 tattoos, these cell phone pics I got were too cute not to share!  He was very excited to show me the next day and still will not let me wash them off.

No tattoo’s on the left side (this was actually a rule I had to set before they left, lol) because he still has a rash from eating that corn that was cooked in the crab pot!  I can’t believe how bad he broke out from that, I’m thinking he must have a shellfish allergy.  Hopefully he’ll grow out of that!

Ryder picked out the perfect pumpkin for him & Daddy to carve.

We have all had some weird sinus/allergy/under the weather thing going on.  Me, Ryder, and Maisy have all been stuffy for a week now, but it’s not turning into any kind of cold or sickness.  Just causing the kids to wake up extra early and pile in my bed because they can’t breathe!

Maisy is such a cutie, I’m constantly taking pictures of her on my cell phone.

She likes being in the car now!!  The combination of a new car seat, a mirror, and her little bug friend that she plays with made her realize that the car’s not so bad after all.  Thank goodness!

She has been more active lately and wanting to be up and moving around, so we took out Ryder’s absolute favorite baby toy:

Apparently someone didn’t forget about this favorite toy and insisted on getting in it first!

Last but not least, some hints on this years Halloween costumes…

That’s all I’ve got…for now :)

Birthday Celebrations!

Birthday’s are a BIG deal around here!  I have always enjoyed celebrating Birthday’s and I think I passed that gene on to Ryder.  He gives the best Birthday wishes and puts on quite the Birthday show (he’s for hire if anyone is interested!)  Lucky for him we’ve had lots of Birthday’s to celebrate this weekend…First it was Nana’s:

Today is Daddy & Uncle G’s!  We had a breakfast celebration with them this morning, no pictures though.

Happy Birthday to a chunk of our most special people!  :)

More Visitors!

Jess, Sydney & Kacy came by to visit with me and their newest baby cousin/niece.  And….they brought us Chicken Pot Pie & brownies, yumm!  This picture of my niece holding Maisy is so surreal to me.  I remember when SHE was the new baby girl that we all couldn’t wait to hold and love.  Now she’s way too grown up holding my baby girl.  Where does the time go?!

Oh, this handsome little guy came to visit!  Aiden came with his Mommy Kim and my BFF Kristen to visit.  They brought a gourmet bag of McDonalds food.  Leave it to Kristen to say “you want me to bring you food?!  Okay make it a drive thru!”  Hahaha, sorry Kris, I need to remember these moments.

Nick, Lindsay & Maddy also came to visit.  They brought us some delicious chicken noodle soup!  I’m seriously considering having another baby so that all our friends and family will keep showing up at our door with food!  (not really).  (seriously).

Love this girl, she just makes me smile!

I’m sure Maisy is loving all of the attention and spoiling she’s getting from our visitors.  And Ryder’s happy to have an audience for his big show he likes to put on!  Mommy & Daddy just feel blessed that so many people care enough about us to want to drive all the way out here and visit.

Visitors

This week we’ve been showered with love from all the people who came to visit us!

Wednesday it was Nicki, Jen, Nana Sherry, and Jaxon!  Sherry made Ryder his very own GREEN blanket and brought him some other goodies, and Jen made us a yummy taco dinner plus dessert.  We were spoiled for sure!  The future Mr & Mrs got their first picture taken together, and then Jaxon took a special picture in Ryder’s Harley bed…just for Daddy!

Thursday Patty & Luke came to visit and brought us lunch!  The boys played so good together and it was nice for us girls to get to chat.  Only 10 more weeks and Patty will be the new Mommy!

Friday Jennifer, Justice and Jenna came to visit.  Ryder loved having the girls over to play, and boy did they play!  I’m so used to Ryder being the baby, I can’t believe that he can actually play now, it’s so cute to listen to their conversations and watch them all get to enjoy eachother.  Jennifer was so sweet to clean up for me when they were done playing!

Saturday Aunt Megan came to visit and brought all of our favorite breakfast…”Chickalay!” (as Ryder would say).  Maisy propped up right on top of her cousin Connor who will be here in October!

Saturday evening CJ, Angela & Carter came to visit again, and Ryan came with them too.  The boys actually played great together this time!  They put their hard hats on and said they were going to work fixing stuff in Maisy’s room, then we found them hiding under her crib.

Maisy was such a sleepy head through every single one of these visits!  I think Megan is the only one who got to see her with her eyes open.  She either thinks we’re all really boring, or really soothing!  Even though she wasn’t awake to enjoy any visits, Mommy did :)

Something New To Ride!

Pop-Pop bought a new lawn mower.  Need I say more?

200

We went over on Friday night to check it out and Ryder was just beside himself.  He learned all about how it works and climbed off and on, pretending to drive it, talking about all the things it did.  It was like his own personal playground that kept him entertained for hours.  Someone asked Pop-pop what his plan was for the next day and he said “cut some grass and drink some beer”.  So what do you think Ryder’s plans were for Saturday??!!  Yup, he woke up saying “gotta go to pop-pops!!  Needa cut da gwass and drank some beeyaa!”  So that’s what we did, well, minus the beer part!

And they’ve already made plans to do it again next Saturday!  Anyone need their grass cut?!  I have a pretty cute pair I could send your way!
