It’s That Time of Year!

I love everything about Christmas time (besides how quickly it seems to come and go now!) so we are thoroughly enjoying all of the festivities that come along with this time of year!

Doodle (our Elf on the Shelf) came back from the North Pole to spend the month of December with us!  Ryder was SO excited to see him again and Maisy has loved waking up to run around and find him each day.  She screams “Doo-Dooooo” 50 times a day, it’s pretty entertaining!

Ryder was telling him here “No Doodle, I’ll be watching YOU!”

We went to a Christmas tree farm this year and cut down our own tree.  The kids picked out the cutest little tree and we went with it!  We decorated it nice and pretty while the kids decorated (and re-decorated) their felt tree I made them.  Yup, miss crafty here, watch out!

Alan & I both had work Christmas parties so we got sitters 2 weekends in a row and had some nice adult fun!

The kids are what make this season so fun for us…they are SO excited and we are feeding into every ounce of it.

Ryder got to see Santa again…which meant more requests (note to self: no more trips to see Santa!)

Of course we could never visit with Aunt B without getting some festive treats.  Yummy AND messy!

16 more days, let the fun continue!

Speaking of fun, Ryder starts a new school tomorrow.  Please pray for him to be brave as he gets on a school bus for the first time and heads to a new school with a new teacher and new friends!  School update coming soon, promise!
